General Meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month in Welton Village Hall at 10:30 am.


Doors open from 9:30 to give members the chance to socialise, have a tea or coffee and visit the Welton Room to see what our many Interest Groups have to offer.


The exception is in May when the meeting moves to the third Thursday to accommodate the Hall being used for local elections and the Welton Farmers' Market.


We aim to have an interesting and entertaining speaker for every meeting.  


July 16th 2026 - Piers Morrell OBE MVO

Behind the Scenes at a Coronation


Retired Wing Commander Piers Morrell OBE MVO served 27 years in the RAF. Concluding his career as Principal of Music he took part in 1 Royal Wedding, 3 Jubilees, 3 State Funerals and the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. His talk will reveal some insights and personal reflections on three of the largest ceremonial events in recent years; the funerals for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the coronations of His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

August 6th - Helen Gamble

Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service Project Officer


We are lucky to have on our doorstep a nationally-recognised and funded Area of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB)  in the Lincolnshire Wolds.   Helen will talk to us about this area, the controls that are in place to prevent change and development and also about the habitats that it provides to rare flora and fauna.   Her talk will also cover the rare chalk streams in the AONB

September 3 - Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Service



A volunteer will talk to us about the challenges facing the charity  - it cost £13 million per year to keep the helicopters flying, all of which has to be raised from the public as they receive no Government funding.  (The service attended 1608 incidents in 2025). 

Currently they are fund-raising for a new ambulance and they have recently purchased two critical care cars which are based at their Waddington site to ferry patients to hospitals etc.
