General Meetings take place on the first Thursday of every month in Welton Village Hall at 10:30, when we aim to have an interesting and entertaining speaker.
 

The exception is in May when the meeting is moved to the third Thursday to accommodate the Hall being used for local elections and the Farmers' Market.

In March the AGM starts at 10:15

October 2- Nick Martin- Britain’s best wildlife

Nature Reserves Manager

Nick oversees the management of more than 60 nature reserves which are managed by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, from small, flower rich meadows to wonderful wetlands and vast ancient woodlands. Nick's team includes the super skilled reserve officers and amazing volunteers who help the Trust to keep these reserves rich in wildlife. . Nick is a renowned wildlife photographer and speaker who is on a mission to enthuse us with his love of wildlife gained in both Lincolnshire and as manager of a Nature Reserve in Warwickshire.



November 6- Annette Mackenzie- More about owls with my friend Eric

Annette has worked with birds of prey for many years and previously spoke about the different species of owl and how they differ in various ways. she will be following on with more owl adventures.

 


December 4- Tom Lane- Christmas entertainment with Tom Lane and his friends as they get us in the mood for the festive season.


January 8th 2026 - Sustainability is King by Clive Wilson. A welcome return visit by Clive and his colleague John Firth who brought us the Trojan Mice only 2 years ago; they will provide an update on ways we can live to help our troubled planet. Clive Wilson is an author, speaker, facilitator and leadership coach who has specialised in "purposeful leadership" for over 20 years. He has two previously published books: Designing the Purposeful Organization and Designing the Purposeful World. His passion is to help leaders consciously create the conditions for a brighter future. He has worked extensively across all continents and with many household-name businesses.
