        The Environment’s Friends

 

Inspired by a talk at a recent general meeting entitled ‘What can we do to save the planet?’ given by representatives of the local branch of the United Nations Association, this newly- formed interest group aims to take up the challenge posed to make ‘concerted efforts towards building an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for people and planet’.

 

We are starting small and local, identifying changes we can make in our everyday lives, both individually and as a U3A community, by identifying our personal environmental priorities and discussing ways in which we can as a group explore possible actions through personal challenges, expert speakers and visits to local organisations who are making a difference within the community.


 Our meetings will be held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 3:15 p.m. (except Bank Holidays) at the Waitrose Community Room at the Nettleham Rd store. If you would like to join our friendly, lively and proactive group, please contact any of the following for more information:
