OUR RECENT TRIPS

GAINSBOROUGH 10th SEPT 26

Five intrepid passengers set-off for Gainsborough on the 10:35 Stagecoach service (100)  from  Lincoln bus station. 

The plan  was to visit the Old Hall, followed by a mooch around Marshalls Yard shops and some lunch.   After coffee in the Old Hall cafeteria, we split into two groups, one to take the tour of the hall and the other to take in the town.    Gainsborough is a small town making everything accessible.

The journey both there and back was pleasant, on  a new electric bus which took us through the villages of Saxilby, Sturton and Stow.

Everyone agreed it was a most enjoyable trip.

GUNBY HALL - JUNE 26

Lovely day out and the gardens are definitely worth a visit. 

 We even had free coffees as a thank you for travelling by bus!

SLEAFORD - 8th MAY 26

Our first adventure - hopefully the first of many!

A small band of travellers set off with  bus passes in hand to Sleaford.  Our journey through the lovely Lincolnshire countryside took just over an hour.  Once in Sleaford we wandered around the town, finally stopping for lunch in a small cafe opposite St Denys Church.  Between our cafe and the church was a large courtyard.  As we sat eating our lunch we heard and saw  a piper leading a funeral procession into the church.
